We use <strong>environmentally-sourced oak<\/strong> for our handles. Having absorbed Carbon Dioxide throughout its life, an oak tree has already repaid its debt to the environment before it is felled. In addition to this, oak has longevity many other materials cannot match.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>2. The rubber we use is <strong>natural eco rubber<\/strong>. There are much cheaper rubbers out there, but this is a very high-end rubber that gives highly detailed impressions and has the best eco-credentials of any we\u2019ve found. It also gives our stamps their distinctive green colour as another little bonus.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>3. Our packaging is <strong>100% plastic-free<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>4. We acknowledge that the ink pad casings are made from plastic as an industry standard, and unfortunately there\u2019s not a lot we can do about it. When used alongside <a href=\"https:\/\/getstamped.co.uk\/product\/onyx-black-re-inker\/\">Re-inkers<\/a>, though, you never have to throw them away! We are confident that one ink pad and Re-inker can achieve 10\u2019s of thousands of impressions and when you finish your bottle of re-inker, just clean it and either reuse it or recycle it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading has-text-align-center\">Our Chosen Charities<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Due to the nature of the products we produce, we are aware we have the potential to negatively impact the environment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To counteract this, we&#8217;ve put a lot of effort into choosing materials and manufacturing processes that minimise the impact. As much as we try to source our materials responsibly and are careful to take notice of who we are in business with, we are aware that simply reducing our damage is not enough to truly offset our potential impact. The World Land Trust\u2019s \u2018Buy an Acre\u2019 projects are chosen to preserve biodiversity in areas where conservation experts can purchase and protect land. Purchasing land is the first crucial step in the conservation process, enabling protected areas to be created or extended and stopping under-threat habitats from being cleared.  That&#8217;s why,  as part of our commitment to being as sustainable as possible, we purchase 1 square metre of wild land with every order. That&#8217;s why we&#8217;ve partnered with Citizen Zoo, who run rewilding projects in and around London, some of which are just a few miles away from our workshop in Streatham. If you&#8217;re a Londoner, you can actually go and visit the land you helped to rewild with your stamp purchase.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Citizen Zoo is a social enterprise committed to rewilding and conservation, with a goal to rebuild nature to a more functional state and bring people out into the great outdoors through their series of engagement programmes. Citizen Zoo\u2019s recent projects include a pioneering nature reserve in Kingston, the return of beavers to London\u2019s waterways, and working with local schools to get children out into nature.
